EPISTAR, established in 1996, partnered with Lextar in 2021 to jointly establish Ennostar Inc. (3714) through an exchange of shares. The company is committed to becoming the No.1 investment platform for compound semiconductors. As one of the major subsidiaries of Ennostar Inc., EPISTAR specializes in the design and manufacture of LED epitaxial wafers and chips. In 2021, under the leadership of Chairman Patrick Fan, the total import and export revenue reached US$751,813,491, an 83% increase over the 2020 revenue of US$410,234,142.
Since its establishment, EPISTAR, with its continued commitment to delivering high-quality products, has been striving to exceed customer expectations. Through “ Co-activation Service Model”, the company cooperates with customers to design and develop products to improve performance, solve practical problems, and realize the ideal product features for customers. In addition, the company, with its outstanding research and development skills, has partnered with several international brands to replace not eco-friendly lights with LED successfully, such as phone keypad lights, notebook and TV backlight, with LEDs in a large number of terminal products. In recent years, EPISTAR has moved away from the low-pricing strategy traditionally adopted in the LED industry. It has deployed next-generation display technology—Micro LED—gathering Ennostar group’s technological momentum and investing substantial resources in display, sensing, automotive, and metaverse applications. Considering the long-term operational needs, EPISTAR constructed several factory bases in 2022 to prepare for the mass production of Micro LED in the upcoming years.
